Potential Members
Welcome to Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. We are honored to represent this outstanding Greek Community, which holds more than 1,300 members in 25 different but outstanding Greek-lettered organizations. Deciding upon joining a fraternity or sorority can be an extraordinary experience. Our Community is divided up into four different councils: the Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, the MultiCultural Council and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Although they may be different in their history and members, they all have a common goal that includes a strong ambition to make this University fun and enjoyable. We hope that you will take the opportunity to look into what Fraternity and Sorority life can offer you, as the University's Greek community has always been a very positive influence since the very beginning of its establishment.
Scholarship and Academics
School work and academic success are what students excel in on a daily basis. UL Lafayette's fraternities and sororities have been known to perform well and maintain an above average GPA for All Men and Women.
Leadership and Involvement
The Greeks at the University find that getting involved on campus helps generate academic happiness and is a great way to meet fellow Greeks who pursue leadership roles for the benefit of the University and themselves.
Philanthropy and Service
Giving back to the community can give one the benefit of fun and fulfillment, good for the mind and body, as well as advancement in careers. As a Greek system, we are very much involved with giving back to the community we love so much.
Brotherhood and Sisterhood
Greek Life creates opportunities for chapters to work together and build strong relationships within their own chapter as well as a good Greek system relationship.
The Greek System as a Community
