The Purpose of Alpha Omicron Pi
The Object of the Fraternity shall be to encourage a spirit of fraternity and love among its members; to stand at all times for character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty; to strive for and support the best interests of the colleges and universities in which chapters are installed; and in no way to disregard, injure or sacrifice those interests for the sake of the prestige or advancement of the Fraternity or any of its chapters.

Women of Alpha Omicron Pi are eligible to apply for multitude of scholarships within the organization, including academic and leadership scholarships and others as part of the Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation.

Chapter Facts
- Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Beta was originally chartered on UL Lafayette’s campus in 1956.
- Open Motto: Righteousness of Life
- Fraternity Motto: Inspire Ambition
- Delta Beta has formally adopted Lafayette’s local sexual assault crisis center, Hearts of Hope, as its local philanthropy. Many of the chapter’s philanthropic efforts go to support them.
- One of four chapters of Alpha Omicron Pi in Louisiana
- Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Beta hosts two major Philanthropy events each year. Smoke Out Arthritis barbecue cook-off in the fall and the Spike Out Arthritis volleyball tournament in the Spring.
- Raised over $11,000 for Juvenile Arthritis and Arthritis Research in 2019
- All sisters are involved in at least one other campus activity

- Alpha Omicron Pi is the only fraternity not to have a crest, only a badge. We were founded on Greek ideals, not Roman.
- Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation was established in 1977 as a nonprofit organization to support various philanthropies of the fraternity. Since 1977, the foundation has contributed over $4.5 million to philanthropic causes.
